Dr. Yesenia Kuan is a board-certified Psychiatrist Board Certified with extensive expertise in both clinical research and patient care. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Complutense in Madrid in 1990 and has since become a key figure in the advancement of treatments for major depressive disorder, bipolar mania, schizophrenia, and treatment-resistant depression. Since 2022, Dr. Kuan has served as a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator at The Medici Medical Research, LLC, where she has led and contributed to clinical trials on cutting-edge therapies such as Aticaprant and Lumateperone. Recognized for her clinical excellence, she was awarded Most Outstanding Resident of the Year (2019–2020) and Most Outstanding Well-Rounded Patient Care (2020–2021) at Larkin Community Hospital. Dr. Kuan is certified in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and has advanced training in a wide range of psychiatric and neurological rating scales, including PANSS, PSP, SCID-5-CT, MoCA, MDS-UPDRS, C-SSRS, HAM-D, HAM-A, MADRS, YMRS, CGI-S/I, MMSE, BARS, SAS, and AIMS.
