Dr. Livasky Concepcion is a board-certified internal medicine physician with over two decades of diverse experience across academic medicine, hospital care, and clinical research. He serves as Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator at The Medici Medical Research, LLC, while also holding academic appointments at Nova Southeastern University and Florida International University. Dr. Concepcion has participated in an extensive portfolio of clinical trials spanning multiple therapeutic areas. As Principal Investigator, he has led studies on idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (BBT-877), COVID-19 (GS-5245), COPD (CHF 5993 vs CHF 1535), chronic rhinosinusitis (Rimegepant), and cancer screening (Roche GO44296). As Sub-Investigator, he has contributed to trials targeting advanced Parkinson's disease (UCB0022), schizophrenia (TV-44749), treatment-resistant depression (Liafensine), temporomandibular disorders (Rimegepant), and essential hypertension (ACT-132577). His research experience also includes trials on Soliqua vs Lantus in diabetes, TOL-3021 in type 1 diabetes, SARS-CoV-2 rapid testing, asthma, frailty in COPD exacerbations, Cesamet for diabetic pain, and more. He is certified in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and numerous psychiatric and neurological rater scales including PANSS, PSP, SCID-5-CT, MADRS, HAM-A, AIMS, BARS, MoCA, MDS-UPDRS, PDSS-2, and C-SSRS, among others. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Concepcion is dedicated to advancing medical science through clinical research while delivering expert, compassionate care in internal medicine.
