Irina C. Delgado Varela, MD, ABIM, ABOM is a board-certified endocrinologist, obesity medicine specialist, and clinical researcher with extensive experience in endocrinology, diabetes, obesity, and metabolic disorders. As a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator, she has participated in Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials evaluating innovative therapies for endocrine and cardiometabolic conditions, including GLP-1–based treatments and emerging metabolic agents.

Dr. Delgado has expertise in all aspects of clinical trial conduct, including patient recruitment, protocol implementation, safety monitoring, adverse event reporting, and regulatory compliance. Her research experience includes studies focused on obesity, diabetes, hypercortisolism, and other metabolic disorders, working closely with sponsors and multidisciplinary research teams to advance new therapeutic options for patients.

In addition to her research activities, Dr. Delgado serves as Founder and Medical Director of S&S Endo and continues to practice clinical endocrinology while mentoring healthcare professionals and integrating research findings into patient care. Her commitment to clinical research and evidence-based medicine supports the development of innovative treatments that improve outcomes for patients with endocrine and metabolic diseases.
